Out of the mouths of babes

Still fresh, even though it happened somewhere along the way from Utah to Oregon, via Northern California.

Caleb (to Ellie): What in the hell did you say?
Dad: Caleb, what did you just say!?
Caleb: I said, "What in the hell did you say?"
Dad: Son, there's a word in that sentence that we don't use, okay?
Caleb: Well, can I say "Sweet Sister Francis" instead?

I have witnesses.

  1. Yep-I was one of them witnesses. It was truly a SWEEET moment. I did not however teach him that word we do not say.

  3. Funny story, our kids, or I guess I should say all of us, have gotten a lot of use of "Sweet Sister Francis" ever since we've heard that. Caleb is one funny kid.

  4. That kid is a crack up. Sounds like he started a new fad with that Sweet Sister Fancis line. You don't mind if we use it do you?

  5. The next time we go on a road trip is it okay if we borrow him to make the trip seem shorter?

  6. My second favorite Caleb phrase that he picked up from Bolt is, "I'm concerned on a number of levels." He uses this one on me with a very adult look on his face, as if to say, "Come on, Kenz. Think!" Oh boy...
