Had a very interesting conversation with one of my brothers in-law recently about "super humans," meaning people who just seem to outperform the rest of us or that make an over-sized contribution to the world. We quickly ticked off names of famous people (Washingston, Lincoln, Gandhi, Joseph Smith (all the prophets, for that matter), Einstein, Marie Curie, Shaggy from Scooby Doo, (sorry, had to throw that one in) and many more than can be listed here. The point was that they all seemed to be "larger than life."

His thought was that this could be fictionalized into a book (and movie too, of course!) with the premise that all of these "super's" (We'd see if Pixar would let us have the name) were "abducted" at some point by aliens and "taught" how to use more of their capabilities than the rest of us. Very cool idea, I thought. How 'bout you? Would this be something you might want to read? Or watch? What other names should be added to the list?

And btw, thanks to Mike for the chat. Always look forward to hearing about what's been stirring in your head...

  1. Ha Ha! While reading your blog I was thinking to myself, "somebody stole Mike's idea or it was Mike he was talking to". He's told me about that idea a couple of times. It does sound intriguing and yes, I would read that book, honestly. And then shortly after the release, it would be produced into a blockbuster and make you two well-to-do men! Go for it!

  2. It is a good idea. I would add: Mother Teresa, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, & Oprah!
